You will be driven via private transfer to your hotel in Arusha, refresh and recharge before your safari adventure begins!

Arusha Coffee Lodge can be found lying on the gentling rolling foothills that cascade down from the ever-present Mount Meru, in the bustling and vibrant town of Arusha. After breakfast, you will be collected by your driver who will take you to Tarangire River Camp in Tarangire National Park, noted for its Elephant population and spectacular baobabs of every shape creating a beautiful setting. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch in your vehicle followed by an amazing afternoon game drive in the Tarangire National Park.

If you are looking for an authentic safari experience under traditional canvas showcasing spacious views and enriching culture, Tarangire River Camp, where there is always a warm welcome and a wonderful atmosphere, is the perfect choice.

Set within a 25,000-hectare concession area, Tarangire River Camp is located 3.5 km from the main entrance of the Tarangire National Park, overlooking a branch of the Tarangire River itself. Nestled between the Maasai Steppe and The Great Rift Valley, Tarangire features the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti. It is the distinct animal life of the park’s river that serves as the primary attraction. During the dry season, elephant dig deep into the riverbed while antelope congregate around shrinking water holes, closely followed by predatory animals like lion and leopard. Tarangire is also the country’s bird and baobab paradise.

Today you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park, enjoy a picnic lunch in the vehicle en route to your hotel, the Acacia Farm Lodge and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park. Lake Manyara National Park is known for the flamingos that inhabit the lake. During the wet season they inhabit the edges of the lake in flocks of thousands but they are not so present during the dry season. Stretching for 50km along the base of the rusty-gold 600-metre high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. The compact game-viewing circuit through Manyara offers a virtual microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience.

From the entrance gate, the road winds through an expanse of lush jungle-like groundwater forest where hundred-strong baboon troops lounge nonchalantly along the roadside, blue monkeys scamper nimbly between the ancient mahogany trees, dainty bushbuck tread warily through the shadows, and outsized forest hornbills honk cacophonously in the high canopy.

Contrasting with the intimacy of the forest is the grassy floodplain and its expansive views eastward, across the alkaline lake, to the jagged blue volcanic peaks that rise from the endless Maasai Steppes. Large buffalo, wildebeest and zebra herds congregate on these grassy plains, as do giraffes – some so dark in coloration that they appear to be black from a distance.

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Acacia Farm Lodge is located in Karatu. The accommodation will provide you with a TV and air conditioning. Complete with a refrigerator, the dining area also has an electric kettle and a dining table. Featuring a shower, private bathroom also comes with a hairdryer and bathrobes. You can enjoy garden view from the room. Extras include a minibar, a seating area and a DVD player. At Acacia Farm Lodge you will find a 24-hour front desk, a garden and barbecue facilities. Other facilities offered at the property include entertainment staff, a shared lounge and a tour desk. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including cycling. The property offers free parking.

Overnight Acacia Farm Lodge- Double room, breakfast included

Today enjoy a game drive in the national park followed by a packed picnic lunch in the vehicle as you head towards the famed Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater for an incredible experience from a new perspective.

Descend into the ‘8th Wonder of the World’, a unique biosphere that has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Enclosed within its towering walls are grasslands, swamps, forests, saltpans, a fresh water lake and a glorious variety of birdlife. Here too are all the members of the ‘Big Five’ (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo) as well as a large cast of plains game and one of Africa’s densest populations of predators.

Return to the lodge for overnight.

Today you will head to the famed Serengeti National Park! Enjoy a packed picnic lunch followed by a game drive in this natural wonderworld before continuing on to your lodge, Lemala Ewanjan.

A million wildebeest… each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling its instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life: a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating; survival of the fittest as 40km (25 mile) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus north; replenishing the species in a brief population explosion that produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again. Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th world wide wonder, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.

Lemala Ewanjan is a deluxe camp with 12 beautiful tented suites set within the game-rich Seronera Valley in a secluded part of Central Serengeti. The camp offers breathtaking views of the Serengeti plains and its prolific wildlife and sunsets. The Seronera valley is renowned for its year round game viewing due to its abundance of water, as well as its large population of resident cats. We have sited the camp right at the end of a blind valley, so there is no reason for vehicles to interrupt your view during the day, and at night you enjoy uninterrupted views across the plains with no electric lights in sight. Each en suite tent is fitted with 2 queen size beds, warm duvets, flush toilet, large safari shower, plentiful running water, wooden storage cabinets and flooring, 24-hour solar lighting and outside loungers from which to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee at the start of each exciting safari day.

The mess tent is beautifully decorated with leather sofas, chandeliers, side cabinets, rugs and chests, and offers a separate bar, sitting and dining area. In the evening, guests gather around the campfire for sunset cocktails before dining under chandeliers or starlit skies.
