SEPTEMBER 7th

You will be met at London Heathrow and transferred by coach to your city centre hotel. You will have the day at leisure to explore the great European capital at your own pace with a guided hop on-hop off open-top bus tour before meeting your tour guide for a welcome dinner at the hotel. Accommodation at 5 * Grange City Hotel. (D)

SEPTEMBER 8th

Today starts with a trip to the fabulous Warner Bros. Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter, where you get on set with film props and experience the film making first hand.

In the afternoon we take a walking tour of Harry Potter filming locations in London, with photo ops at: Westminster Station, Houses of Parliament/Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Charing Cross Road, Piccadilly Circus, Australia House, King’s Cross/Platform 9 ¾, St. Pancras International, Claremont Square, plus a guided tour of Westminster Abbey.
In the evening, you will have Pub Passes for an informal dine around in local London pubs. Accommodation at 5 * Grange City Hotel. (B,D)

SEPTEMBER 9th

We make an early morning start to visit the Tower of London for a guided tour by a Beefeater (Yeoman guard) before picking up a Thames river cruise to transport us to the London Eye for a champagne flight.

Our day continues with a riverside walk to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and the famous Borough Market before we cross the Millennium Bridge to visit the lively Covent Garden. There will be photo ops along the way of Tower Bridge and the Leaky Cauldron and Diagon Alley. Accommodation at 5 * Grange City Hotel. (B)

SEPTEMBER 10th

Today we head out of London to explore the world of Harry Potter, starting with a visit to Harrow School (Flitwick’s Charms classroom) and a photo stop at 12 Picket Post Close in Martin’s Heron (Dursley’s house) before continuing onto the University city of Oxford for a guided tour of Christ Church college, the Bodleian Library and the Eagle & Child Pub.

We finish the day with a drive through the pretty Cotswolds countryside and a tour of Gloucester Cathedral. Overnight at 4* Tewksbury Park Hotel. (B,D)

SEPTEMBER 11th

After breakfast, we make our way to Lacock village to see Professor Snape’s Potions classroom, the Dark Arts classroom (Defense Against the Dark Arts), the Transfiguration classroom and Horace Slughorn’s house. In the afternoon, we visit the Heritage city of Bath to see the historic Roman Baths and spend some time at leisure shopping in the city’s vintage boutiques. Overnight at 4* Tewksbury Park Hotel. SEPTEMBER 12th

With a long drive ahead, we head north to take the heritage steam train from Goathland station to the beautiful fishing village of Whitby. Afternoon at will to enjoy the shops and visit Whitby Abbey, inspiration for the Dracula Story. We finish the day with a classic English fish & chips dinner at a local pub. Accommodation at 4* Dunsley Hall. (B,D)

SEPTEMBER 13th

Today we continue our way through Britain and discover other Harry Potter film locations, such as Durham Cathedral, where Harry, Ron and Hermione were taught how to turn animals into water goblets and Alnwick Castle, where Harry had his first flying lesson. In the afternoon, we drive to Edinburgh for a Ghosts and Ghouls tour. Dinner and stay at 4* Hotel Indigo, Edinburgh. (B,D)

SEPTEMBER 14th

Welcome to the birth city of Harry Potter! Today starts with a visit to the famous Edinburgh Castle, followed by lunch at the Elephant House, where J.K Rowling created much of Harry Potter. Afternoon tea at Balmoral Hotel, where Rowling wrote the last Harry Potter book. Accommodation at 4* Indigo Hotel, Edinburgh. (B)

SEPTEMBER 15th

Today we have a long drive ahead, but we will see beautiful scenery such as Loch Sheil (or the Black Lake near Hogwarts), the filming location for Hagrid’s Hut in Glencoe and the ‘Harry Potter Waterfall’ (Steall Fall). Afternoon visit to a whisky distillery. Overnight at 3* Bay Great Western, Oban. (B,D)

SEPTEMBER 16th

Start the day with a ride in the Hogwarts Express train to Glenfinnan Viaduct and Mallaig, a beautiful fishing village nearby. Time to relax and have lunch in Mallaig. Afternoon at will, back in Oban. Accommodation at 3* Bay Great Western, Oban. (B, D)

SEPTEMBER 17th

Today we drive back to Edinburgh, where we will have a day at leisure, either for relaxed walking tour of the city, a shopping session or a hike to Arthur’s Seat. Overnight at 4* Indigo Hotel, Edinburgh. (B)

SEPTEMBER 18th

Transfer to Edinburgh International Airport. Enjoy your flight back home!
